The soundtrack for Disney’s 2009 live action/CGI film Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel features 15 pop covers delivered in the helium-filled rodents’ (Alvin [Justin Long], Simon [Matthew Gray Gubler], and Theodore [Jesse McCartney]) signature falsettos, including classics like "Staying Alive," "Daydream Believer," and "We Are Family." Also included are selections from "the Chipettes" (Brittany [Christina Applegate], Jeanette [Anna Faris], and Eleanor [Amy Poehler]), an all-female trio of chipmunks who also wear clothes and sing impossibly high. Highlights from the latter include a spirited rendition of the timeless Foreigner ballad "I Want to Know What Love Is."
